Starting just outside the leafy mountain suburb of Blackheath, this area is ideally located near numerous mountain biking trails. Just 700 metres from the town Blackheath is the start of the trail-head. You can either ride straight out from the flying fox backpackers and a not too demanding 9 km to the start. Alternatively catch the almost empty train to Buramako Trail. There are many cafes and bakeries to pop into for a nice break before you starty your ride proper.
The ride itself is not too demanding as it’s a firetrail with a couple of short steep sections that you may have to traverse on foot.
Then you will arrive after 7 km from the centre of town at the cliffs edge, what a view. One of the best in the Blue Mountains.
